Staying Sustainable

When owner, Alison, opened Designed & Detailed she knew that one of the foundational values for the company would be to approach everyday business in an eco-friendly fashion. She set many standards for the company to reduce waste, maximize recycling, and give back to the community.  Designed and Detailed prints on specialty paper made from sugar cane and recycled materials and only uses two reams of this paper per year, all other documentation is completed electronically.  Alison and her team also encourage their clients to purchase recycled votives, card boxes and other décor items from past clients or rent from their own personal inventory.   They are huge supporters of repurposing floral arrangements after events and work with other eco-friendly vendors to ensure nursing homes or other locations can share beautiful blooms for more than one evening.  Alison hopes to one-day move into a larger office that is able to support a small garden and her own composting.
